For ten years I sat on your side of the table. I hired contractors for my own properties and signed every draw. And every year I was trying to figure out what to do about my taxes. My accountant was hard to get a hold of, and when I did get advice it was generic, with no step by step on what to actually do, so I still felt lost. A lot of accountants have never sat on the owner's side of the table, so they can tell you the rules but not what to actually do.
